ORU is blocking my pics...
ORU must have gotten a new web blocker internet filter thing because I can't view my pictures on my blog from on campus; it's labeled as "Media Search." I don't know... anyway... I'm sent two emails to the administrator, but have gotten no word back. Maybe they're just busy... who knows!
Anyway, I need a way to be able to view my pics right?! Or at least other people on campus need to! I mean, my blog is so important to the rest of the world that I think people would go crazy if they didn't get my new pics! Pandamoneum (did I spell that right?)!
Josh's blog seems to be working fine though. I asked why. He gave me one word. One magnificent word. Photobucket. So I made an account, and as you can see below, it works. I'm working on the sizing of the pics, so bear with me the next few pics. I'll try one in a sec to make sure it works again.
That's it for now. I'll let you know about my findings. Also, for those of you not on ORU's campus, I'm glad you can see the pics just fine, but it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!! Ok.... deep breaths.... remember what .... the doctor told..... you.... he he hu.... he he hu... (like lamas, I don't think I spelled that right either...)...
*Whoa! Can you use any more elipses in a post?!

The calm before the storm...
*I typed a ton, but Firefox froze b/c of my full screen quicktime... and I lost my post, so I'll try to recreate it.*
I'm waiting...
For a time that will never come...
For a day that doesn't exist...
To hear those eight precious words...
"You can now move into your new room."
Hah! You all thought I was gonna get all Ghandi on you! Nope, just being dumb. I just dropped Jenni off at the aiport a while ago... I'm bored out of my mind! And I'm loving it!
I'm also packing up all of my stuff into boxes to make the move on Wednesday fast and easy. I tried talking to the hall director and the RA and they both say I can't move anything up early. Uhh!
Anyway, what is a guy to do when there is nothing to do? And he has two 17inch LCD monitors and sweet speakers? He watches movie trailers from Apple!
So that's what I'm doing now.
Here are my thoughts on some of the trailers that I liked.
"The Departed" - Crime/Drama/Thriller. This film has an all star cast! Let me name a few: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen, Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Anderson, and Alec Baldwin. I'm loving it already. I suggest you at least check out the trailer. Hopefully it's as good as it looks.
"Babel" - Drama. Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett. I'm excited already! Brad is also sporting the overgrown (but not Castaway style) beard. I like him better with the beard because it makes him seem less Hollywoody... 3 films in one! Check it out!
"Children of Men" - Adventure/Drama/Sci-Fi/Thriller. My favorite BMW films wheelman takes the helm of this sci fi, but strangely down to Earth thriller. Interesting story, silly at first but it grew on me... Clive Own, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine. I seem to enjoy this trailer more if I have my nice speakers turned up; turn yours up, it'll make a difference.
"School for Scoundrels" - Comedy. I might see this only because David Cross and Ben Stiller are in it. Yes, Jon Heder is the star, and I think he's ok...but... Well, I feel bad for him. He's typecasted now. It's gonna be hard for him to break out of his Napolean character, although, this film takes a giant leap into getting hime out. I think it will help shed new talents, not just "Gosh!"
"Employee of The Month" - Comedy. Any film about Costco is gonna be good! Jessica Simpson, Dane Cook, Efren Ramirez (Vote for Pedro), Dax Shepard (Without a Paddle), and Sean Whalen. Looks like it will be funny, hopefully not raunchy, but I'll have to wait to get reviews on it; I won't be first in line, or even second.
"The Science of Sleep" - Comedy/Drama/Fantasy/Romance. If any of you liked/loved "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind," you are gonna love this too (I think?)! Directed by genius Michel Gondry, you're in for a crazy ride! Nobody I really recognized, but looks great! You just have to watch the trailer to appreciate it!
"The Prestige" - Drama/Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Thriller. I am really starting to like Hugh Jackman! I mean, he makes a perfect Wolverine, but I think he's got great well rounded acting skills. Cast: Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, David Bowie, and Andy Serkis. This film seems to be very interesting, dealing with magicians... what is real and what is an illusion... Decent trailer too. I also think it's funny how Jackman and Johansson are doing this film as well. I mean, they are also both starring in "Scoop." Anything going on here?

Old pictures...
Last day at ETV.
As you can tell, today is my last day at ETV. I really enjoyed my time here! There was nothing that I didn't like doing. But the next week or two are going to be very relaxing. I'll get to sleep in, move into my new room, set up the room leisurely, play video games and computer games... ahhh... I can't wait till 5pm!
I also learned a lot here at ETV. I learned a lot about graphics (After Effects) and editing (Avid). My time here has really been spent well. I want to thank my bosses, Anna, Candace, and Dakson, for helping me learn so much and answering all of my questions. Those three work so great together and will help anyone if you just ask. And my fellow coworkers, you guys are great, I hope we all learned from each other and gained some new ideas for projects because you guys brought so much to the table.
I never got so much hands on experience in my life and I'm glad I worked here this summer! This was probably one of the best summers of my life! Except for those countless summers spent with the family, either driving to Florida or flying to the Grand Canyon or getting to see the world over in London and Romania.
I have just been so blessed to be surrounded by great people. My family, who encourages me to do my best and is prouder when I do and my teachers, who push me past the point I thought I would never be able cross, and my friends, who are supportive and excited about the work I do (or at least they pretend to be excited when I show them a video I edited 100 times!), and for Jenni, always being there even when I wasn't and the Institute took over my life for a year. That was a tough year on everyone but I made it and it's time for bigger things. In a year, I will graduate, be married, moved out, and starting my new life with a new family, Jenni and I, and I am excited to say the least! These are wonderful times! Embrace the change and you will live happier!

Could this be the new iPod?!
Nick posted what he thought would be the new iPod/iPhone... but I just read this from Gizmodo today. (http://www.gizmodo.com)
Here is the article:
"Apple's upcoming iPod will make its debut this November and will definitely feature a touchscreen, Gizmodo has learned. Let's just say that we have a couple of people fairly high up the Apple food chain who have made it known that the iPod's touchscreen is truly the bee's knees. Apple is also apparently working its tail off to make sure that the planned November launch of the new iPod will still happen.
Our super secret sources didn't reveal any information regarding the iPod's rumored wireless capabilities, however.
Oh, and those pictures? Those were supplied by a fine reader of ours, Samuel Mularczyk. Supposedly, they were found on Apple's Web site. Granted, they pictures do read "iPhone," but no one ever said that the iPod and iPhone won't be one in the same, right? (But yes, it could just be another silly mock up.) – Nicholas Deleon"

ORU Rennovations
Every year, ORU does rennovation work. Usually just the basics, like painting or replacing holes from angry college kids who lost at a certain video game and kicked through the wall... stuff like that.
But this year, ORU really did some serious changing stuff! They took out about 3-4 big, big, trees from the prayer garden, resurfaced the whole lower lot and part of the upper, they planted new gardens (and benches will be put there) out front of the LRC/GC, they put in new carpet on the third floor of the LRC, new chairs in the pit of the third floor, new banners in chapel... they are totally redoing the Eagles Nest, the Smoothie Shop and the Java Stop. They are putting in a Chick-Fil-A in the Eagles Nest... and they built a workout area/weight room for athletes so the regular weight room is left for students (this was started and nearly completed a while ago, but some of you have never see it.).
So, I just went around and got some pictures to share with you all. Also, the website is totally brand new... brand new marketing... Really cool stuff! I'll have to show you the new recruitment/marketing video later.
Well, enjoy the pics, and if you have any questions, just comment or email me! Don't forget to check out ORU at: www.oru.edu

No time for a truly in depth post right now...
Hey all! Just wanted to let you all know that I am still alive and doing great! But actually, it's only been like 3 days since I last posted, but it feels like a week or two! Weird! Anyway, I've been keeping busy.
On Monday, Jenni and I went to the BMW event, for the Susan B. Komen breast cancer foundation. That's the thing where we get to test drive different BMW's. I mentioned a few posts ago... I also thought that we would only be able to drive either the 3 series or the 7 series. That turned out to be bogus as we drove the Z4 roadster, twice and a 325ci.
That Z4 was really something! It had the clutchless manual shifting on the steering wheel or you could go into all automatic. The top went up in 10 seconds, all automatic, just press a button and you're done and the ride quality was pretty good. We both really enjoyed it! I'll post pictures on here when I get a chance.
They also had donuts in the morning and then Outback catered for free. Jenni had a nice piece of steak, a salad and some soda's. After you drive one of the cars, you get to sign the "signature car." It's a brand new 5 series with everyones signature (with a Sharpie) on it. Pretty cool! I got a little nervous with people watching and my handwriting looks like a 5th graders! Oh well, I'll have to try again next year!
What does Monday night, Tuesday morning, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night have in common? I am running camera as a freelance camera guy at the Mabee Center for some special convention. It's interesting, a little boring at times, but oh well. Monday night was 6:30pm to 11pm. Last night was 7-10:30. Tonight is the last night, so I won't be surprised if it goes till 1am! Actually, I would be surprised, so please pray that it only goes till 9:30! I have been working those shoots and still putting time in at ETV in between.
Speaking of which, this Friday is my last day. Then I get about 2 weeks to relax, set up my room, move Cassidy's stuff in, sleep in, play video/computer games... you know, college stuff! I'm excited. Josh is already gone and Jenni is leaving on Monday, so things will be weird, but I can sleep in! Awesome!
Well, that's what I have been up to recently, I'll try and get pictures on here as soon as I can. Probably tomorrow. Take care!
