The cold air takes your breath away like a pair of week old socks... but with less aftertaste...

I started running again. I used to do it for fun, then I did it for competition (not very well though), then I did it for fun, then I didn't do it, then I did it for fun, then I didn't do it, and now I'm doing it for fun. That's not confusing...

Anyway, I like to run just to clear my head sometimes. It makes me think more clear and be more relaxed. I guess it's the same with almost any exercise for me. I just feel better afterwards.

Anyway, it was freezing out there! I wore short (short shorts) and a hoodie and a wool hat. I wish I had some small gloves. Anyway, the temp was probably about 30 degrees and you felt it.

Breathing it in just hurt, it was so cold! I popped in a mint because they help me in the cold. My fingers were so cold though!

Anyway, as I was jogging to my starting place, I had to decide how many laps (outdoors) to do. I decided on 3. Each lap is 3/4 of a mile. I didn't want to do too much, but I still wanted to push myself, so 3 seemed fair, for having a long off season.

I did pretty well. My stamina really surprised me. Since I haven't ran in a while, I have to restart everything. I call the first week, "getting out the cobwebs week." I feel as if spiders made a bunch of webs in my lungs, and after a few decently hard runs, I can break it loose and breathe deeper.

My legs weren't holding back at all, which was nice, it was just my lungs. I had to keep my breathing steady and my mind on other stuff. It wasn't too bad.

It really is something, to run by yourself, on a freezing cold night, where all you see is your breath and all you hear is your feet hitting the ground. It was really peaceful actually. Well, until the last lap, I kicked it up a notch for that last lap, but man did I feel good! I let it all go for that!

Anyway, I don't know when I'll run next. I want to try and fit in some weight lifting, because I gotta look good for my honeymoon right?! And maybe I'll start playing raquetball more. I also biked to Josh's place the other night, it was a good little ride.

Well, that's good for now, talk to you later! Oh, and get out there and exercise!

Where I intern.

I am an intern at the ad agency, Ackerman McQueen. I am interning in the video production department. Here is a picture I took on my way out. It is in the old National Bank of Tulsa Building. They used to have the whole 12th floor, but are now moved to the first floor.

Mikerica Industries now hiring!

I am hiring an intern for myself. Yes, I know that sounds weird, but hear me out.

Also, this may make more sense if you have seen the Seinfeld episode, where Kramer gets an intern for "Kramerica Industries." But if not, don't sweat it.

I'm taking 16 credit hours, which 3 credit our are in one of my hardest classes ever. I'm also an intern at a local ad agency for at least 2 days a week. And as much as possible, I volunteer run camera at Church On The Move. So, I'm busy.

I just want someone to sort through my emails, update my to do lists, take phone calls and messages, run to the post office/UPS, run to Walmart for errands, do laundry, and any other thing that pops in my mind. But this job ends May 19th, when I get married because Jenni will take over for a full time position then.

So, if anyone wants to work as my intern, and ke
ep in mind, my internships may be unpaid, please email me. You may not get paid in money, but you get life experience that you just can't put a price on. Oh, I also validate parking.

(sample work environment)

So, if you are interested, please email me your resume with a cover letter, and I will contact you as soon as I review your information. Thanks!

Smart Cars have invaded Tulsa!

Smart Car sighting #1.

I noticed this in downtown Tulsa today. Awesome! I first saw them in London, check out the site [link.]

Do you think America is ready for
the ultra small car? I actually really like the idea of them and I think it's a good change from the Hummer H2's around. You know what?! I may put one of these in the trunk of my H2 so in case i get a flat tire, I can just drive this around! Brilliant!

Judge Morris Estate

This is where Jenni and I will be getting married.

Jenni & Callie

Just two photoshopped images of Jenni and Callie. I pretty much only put them on here for Jenni's satisfaction.

Engagement photos turned into video

Our photographer, took literally 800 photos. As I scrolled through them looking for a certain one, I noticed that if you keep scrolling, it looks a lot like video. So, I just did a quick "slideshow" in After Effects and added some of Jenni's favorite songs. Thank DC Photography!

A little bit of rain never hurt anybody... but a lot of rain and freezing temperatures can kill! (Ok, maybe not kill, but not be good!)

Yeah, ice storms are insane. I haven't seen one this bad since I lived in New Jersey. I remember we had a really bad ice storm because that same day, we went to see the movie Iron Will (a movie about sled dogs and stuff). I then hooked up Snickers (my dog) to my sled. He was too small to pull very well. So "enclosed" are some pics from the ice storm at ORU!

These chunks are from the car! Imagine having to scrap (woops, I mean scrape!) that off! It took me 1.5 hours to get the car clean enough to drive to my first day of my internship.

Also, I don't know if I told you, but I got a Moleskine. It's the regular ruled notebook one! I love it!
Jenni really liked it, so I decided to get her one. The standard one is just black, nothing special, but I managed to find one that would fit her quite nicely. It's orange (and silk) and from the Van Gogh Museum collection. I always thought her paintings reminded me of Van Gogh and when I told her about it, she said he is her favorite artist! Score! Hers is a sketchbook. It has thicker pages for painting or drawing on.

His and her Moleskines!

Oh, we had a firealarm at 4:30 am this morning! For crying out loud... So we had to get all dressed, and wake up so we could walk down the st
airwell (from 8) and stand outside, but luckily they didn't make us stand outside. I'm not sure why... 4:30?! C'mon! So that was a lot of fun, trying to go to bed then wake up in another 4 hours for class...

There is supposed to be more snow coming this weekend. Some today and then some more on Saturday and Sunday. That would be nice for a change. Some snow, instead of ice! The ice is so thick on the grass that you could probably strap on some ice skates and cruise around, no joke!

I really want to start mountain biking again, but you really can't till all this ice melts away! Then the trails will have to dry... I need to get in shape. Maybe I'll work out in the Aerobics Center now and then... yeah, maybe...

Oh, Nick got a new head unit for the Buick. I don't know if he put any pictures of it on his blog so I thought I would put one on here. You just
plug your iPod in and you can control it though the stereo. No more need for our Griffin Road Trips, but I'm still going to keep mine, just in case I ever ride in anyone elses car.

I can't wait for "The Office" tomorrow! I'm so hooked on that show! Are you!? Well you should be! Well, that's all I have for you right now.

Leave me a comment so I know that people are reading this! Please?! Fine, never mind... see if I ever leave a comment for you!

Honey... have you seen my survival knife?

I just got into this show called "Man vs. Wild." It's really cool. This guy shows you how to survive with just a knife and a water bottle. Better yet, his name is Bear, Bear Grylls (pronounced "grills"). Bear?! That's weird. He does stuff (to survive mind you) like pee on his shirt, then wrap it over his head and face to cool off in the desert and when thirsty in Africa, he just squeezes elephant poop over his head and catches the water in his mouth. No joke! He has also climbed Everest and is a motivational speaker. Check out his site here [Link]

Anyway, I would love to run camera for this show. It's on the Discovery Channel. Check it out! I'm posting some behind the scenes pics for you, because if you are anything like me, you like to see the behind the scene stuff.

It's here!

My computer, aka "The Beast," came today! Yes! Finally! Hoora!

Test post.
